Nitric Acid is a key component to upgrade Ammonia for many Nitrogen based fertilizers, including Ammonium Nitrate and Urea Ammonium Nitrate. The dramatic increase in the production of Ammonia has led to the demand for more Nitric Acid. As with many Chemical processes, the high value suction air chiller can become a limiting factor in Nitric Acid production. Suction air chilling will increase Nitric Acid production with minimal site impacts and at a much lower capital cost than air compressor additions or replacements.
Advantages
- Incremental capacity enables the delivery of higher value fertilizer products without major capital investment
- Project payback in 1-2 years
- Project delivery time of 7-9 months vs. 2-3 years
